EASY LAMP-CHECK DISPLAY

Driving without braking light is a safety hazard. Unfortunately, not many drivers realize their brake lights are not coming on. To make matter worse, this light comes on when driving, and unless someone else tells you that your brake lights are faulty, it’s very hard to realize.

And in almost all countries, driving with faulty brake lights attract hefty fines. Besides, broken brake lights are a major distraction on the road and jeopardize your life and those of your loved ones. But now thanks to John C. Dunham of Loudon, TN, we.ve got a way of testing brake lights—the Easy Lamp-Check Display.

How does the Invention Work?

John realized that vehicles with non-functional braking lights were a prevalent problem on the road. While the scenario was very irritating, he noticed that most of the drivers didn’t realize their vehicles had an issue. After all, these lights come on when driving and car owners being inside of their vehicles assumed all the lights were working perfectly.

John understood the kind of risk the drivers of the vehicles with non-functional were exposed to. And this is what triggered him to start running experiments with fiber optic cable. He also understood how high the fines for driving with faulty lights were, and this fueled his passion to help his colleagues on the road.

In his experiments, he would light up his flashlight on one end and then examine it on the opposite end. And through this technique, he discovered it was an ideal way to test light bulbs. Without hesitation, he built a prototype, mounted it on a suction cup, and tested it with the brakes of his car. Alas! The invention worked perfectly. And through a series of modifications and alterations, the prototype is better than ever. The Easy Lamp-Check Display is an ideal way of inspecting brake lights. And the setup is easy as it involves creating an attachment of fiber optic suction cups to the lens cover of any light you wish to inspect. The driver can mount this hand-held invention to any light they are testing and observe how it works comfortably from the driver’s seat. And if the lights are functional, the optical fiber will transmit the signal and indicate the vehicle is safe for driving.

Advantages of the Invention

The hand-held device helps to eliminate safety hazards associated with braking lights. It also saves you from the risk of being pulled over and getting tickets. With Easy Lamp-Check Display, you can now inspect your right and left braking lights from the comfort of your driving chair.
